Is there anything better than delicious baked snacks? We're always on the hunt for easy ways to make yummy treats from our hügel veggies & this is one of our favorites!
Delicious homemade bread!
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 1-1/4 cups unsweetened applesauce
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup INFUSED vegan butter or coconut oil*
• 1/3 cup milk
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
TOPPING: • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
To infuse : Melt vegan butter or coconut oil in a sauce pan, add desired amount of Bird Valley oil and thoroughly mix. Follow dosing instructions on applicator, and use sparingly. Add infused vegan butter to recipe.
In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. In a small bowl, combine the eggs, applesauce, sugar, oil and milk; add to the dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in the walnuts. Transfer to a greased and floured 9×5-in. loaf pan.
Combine the topping ingredients; sprinkle over the batter. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
