About this event

Join us at at Bird Valley Farm on Dec. 4th from 3-5pm for a deep dive into the fascinating world of terpenes in cannabis and the physical and mental effects they have on our bodies.

What’s a terpene?

Terpenes are the compounds that give most plants their aroma & flavor. However, terpenes aren’t just about aroma alone— they also play a very important role alongside cannabinoids in the physiological effects of cannabis.

We will learn about the most common terpenes in modern cannabis, and how terpene profiles are the best indicators of the potential effects of a particular cultivar (strain) rather than just THC and CBD levels alone. We will also learn how to start thinking beyond the current ‘Indica’ and ‘Sativa’ terminology to guide our cannabis choices with the latest analytical lab based scientific data insights.

Attendees will use their senses to explore the aromas of terpenes and get to challenge their noses with a fun olfactory palate training exercise!

Marcel Menard who has had extensive Ganjier training will be leading the workshop at Bird Valley Farm in Watsonville. Our workshop includes farm snacks and beverages with samplings of the different terpene flavor profiles we will be learning about.

Tickets are $60 each & early bird couple tickets for $100

PLEASE NOTE:

You must be age 21+ to attend.

All terpene samples, food & beverages are non-psychoactive.

This is a BYO event & guests are welcome to BYO beer, wine and bud.

Our workshops are for small groups and take place in a well ventilated area with social distancing in accordance with county covid regulations.
